A suspension kit contains the wearing parts of one axle in a single box: the upper and lower control arms with their bushings and ball joints, the tie rod ends, the stabiliser links and the bolts and nuts to fit them. Kits are most common for multi-link front axles, where several arms locate each wheel and all of them are loaded on every bump.
Renewing the whole set at once restores the geometry of the axle in one operation. The wheel alignment is done once, and the new hardware replaces bolts that were stretched on first fitting or have corroded in place.
